MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS, everyone! It felt like the holidays just whipped by this year. Phew! Nothing beats family, fun, food, and gifts right? We had a great holiday season and hope you did, too!

Our last wedding of the year was set in Spartan country…well, almost. For this wedding we made the trek to Owosso, Michigan’s beautiful Comstock Inn to celebrate with Amanda and Dan.

They came to us on a referral from one of the bridesmaids who just so happened to be at the up north wedding we played earlier in the summer. REFERRALS ROCK!

And to make the night even better…being IN Spartan country while they were playing. Just so happens they put on a clinic that night, too. I think the final score was crazy: 101-48 or something like that. Sheesh!

Back to the good stuff, though.

Musically, this was a fun party. We were able to mix in some of the holiday favorites in to the cocktail hour, special music, and open dancing. It was a pretty good flavor for the night.

Once we got down to business, the bride and groom shared their first dance to Michael Buble’s arrangement of “All I Want For Christmas is You.” It was one of those, “Aw…” moments. Amanda then danced with her dad to “Isn’t She Lovely” by Stevie Wonder followed by Dan and his mom dancing to Rascal Flatts’ “My Wish.”

The single ladies in the room fought for the bouquet to the song of the same name by Beyonce.

It was a great night! What a way to end the year!

Congratulations again, you two. Thank you for letting me be a part of your very special night!

Back at Waldenwoods for another BEAUTIFUL wedding! This time it was all snow and 100% gorgeous. Yep, this was the day of the BIG snow storm all of Michigan got. This was the one that started the “Snowpocalypse” of 2013. Either way, such a wonderful setting for a wonderful day.

Andrea and Dan came to us by way of Wedding Wire. We’re thankful for that resource, because it truly gives us the opportunity to showcase the fine people like you that we get to work with.

Oh…we got to hang with our friends Lindsey and Brandon Billings of The Billings Photography. Love these two! Such a fun couple to work with. They know what they’re doing AND they like to have fun while they do it. All of the photos in this post are from them.

And wouldn’t you know it…the father of the bride was former 100.3 WNIC DJ Kim Frederick! Check it out!

Alright…enough name-dropping. :)

The new Mr. and Mrs. Tobin entered the reception to “Glad You Came” by The Wanted. Such a high energy song…it was fun!

After dinner was over, the bride and groom shared their first dance to a cover of “Lego House” by Boyce Avenue. Ed Sheeran would be proud because this moment was definitely special. An absolutely beautiful way to start things off.

Once that was done, Andrea and her dad danced to a special compilation of audio mixed with “Angel in My Arms” by her dad Kim. It was quite the special moment. I always love when people come prepared to do special things. The only other special event to occur was the bouquet toss. We did that to Rihanna’s “Only Girl in the World.” And what’s a party without cutting some rug with the guests?

It was a very elegant night. Thank you for letting us start your journey with you!
