Olivia and Ryan came to us from the family at North Ridge Church in Plymouth. Livvy’s amazing mom Kim had to book us right away for this one. And we don’t blame her! It’s always a good thing when friends can work together. The party seems to flow better because of how comfortable things are.
The ceremony and reception took place at the beautiful Weller’s Estate in Saline. This was the second time I played there and it was just as beautiful as the first. The wait staff is friendly and everything is so seamless in their operation.
This was a very interesting day for everyone involved. Under threat of storm, the ceremony was almost moved indoors. But, with a little intuition and a weather radar iPhone app, we had just enough time for the ceremony to go down without everyone getting soaked.
The ceremony was beautiful. Kevin Winningham performed the ceremony and our good friends Jordan and Kristi made beautiful music during the elements of the actual wedding.
The dinner portion of the reception was in the carriage house and the bridal party entered the reception to Icona Pop’s “I Love It.” After some speeches, a blessing, and dinner, it was time to cut the cake. The awesome part about this is that Huffington Post Weddings featured Olivia and Ryan’s big day on their site the week after. Check it out!
So enough geeking out, already. :)
Once dinner was over, the party moved outside to the reception gazebo. The bride and groom started the dancing out with their first dance. “I Won’t Let Go” by Rascal Flatts was the song they chose. Shortly after, Liv and her dad danced to Vogues’ “Special Angel” while Ryan and his mom danced to “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole.
This was the most fun we’ve had in a while. Maybe it was the friends. Maybe it was the music. Maybe it was a combination of all of it! Either way, we’re so happy that Olivia and Ryan chose us to share in the beginning of their journey together.
