Carrie and Kyle’s wedding brought us to King’s Court Castle in the old Canterbury Village in Lake Orion. If you’ve never been there, I would encourage you to make a day out of it. Set in the medieval times, King’s Court Castle is a very beautiful rustic venue with purple, blue, and wood everywhere. It’s got the feeling of an old Renaissance-era village. What a great place!
To get things started, we introduced the bridal party to the tropical hit “Say Hey (I Love You)” by Michael Franti and Spearhead. After the intros, dinner was served and it was off to the races from there.
Once dinner was complete, Carrie and Kyle made their way to the dance floor and danced to Train’s “Hey, Soul Sister.” After that, the bride and her father pulled off one of the greatest surprises we’ve seen to date. It was the first time we had a bride and her father do the sentimental dance that broke out in to organized chaos. So much fun! “Butterfly Kisses” turned in to “Greased Lightning” from Grease. Awesome.
After that, Kyle and his mom chose “All to You” by Scott Keo. The bridal party joined the fun to the newest hit from Macklemore and Ryan Lewis: “Can’t Hold Us.”
The bouquet and garter happened a little later with the usual “Single Ladies” by Beyonce and my favorite “The Stripper” from “The Full Monty.”
And if that wasn’t great, it’s when we see songs like this on the playlist that we get excited:
Congrats again, Carrie and Kyle! Thanks for such an awesome and unique night!
