Another bunch of awesome people, getting to work with awesome vendors, and doing it all in an awesome place is an awesome way to spend an awesome night!

Overkill on the awesome? Maybe?

NOT AT ALL! Truly, I can’t put in to words how totally awesome this night was. A lot of special stuff happened and it’s hard to put all of it in to words.

Tonight’s wedding took place at the beautiful Inn at St. John’s. This was my second time playing this venue in 15 years and it was absolutely awesome AGAIN!

Okay…first, the bride’s uncle was the singer for the cocktail hour. It was nice to get a break, sure, but it was even more awesome that there was an unbelievably talented guy SINGING the cocktail hour music!

Second, the bride and I coordinated a very special entrance for the two of them. The bridal party entered the reception to a totally different song than the bride and groom. In the process of planning, Nichole told me that Chris is a HUGE Chicago Bulls fan. So, we did what any DJ in his right mind would do at a wedding: they entered the reception to the Chicago Bulls theme song. We did the thing with the keys and everything? Don’t know what I’m talking about? Ask a die-hard Bulls fan…he’ll tell ya.

Then, when I thought it couldn’t better, that same awesome cocktail hour singer sang during dinner. Absolutely amazing.

Okay…so that was the awesome stuff. Then, it was the special music and such. The bride and groom danced to “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele. After that, Nikki and her dad shared a dance to The Temptations’ classic “My Girl.” Finally, “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts set the mood for Chris and his mom to dance to.

And if that wasn’t awesome enough, we spent the whole time with our boy Jesse of Jesse D. Green Photography! The man, the myth, the legend!

Thank you, Nikki and Chris, for letting Motor City HDJ be a  part of your awesome day!
